This is a newly created opportunity to join our team as a Pricing Data Analyst. In this role, you’ll be responsible for analysing and interpreting pricing data to support both strategic and tactical decision-making. You’ll collaborate cross-functionally with Sales, Product Management, Finance, and Marketing to ensure that IPD’s pricing models remain competitive, profitable, and data-driven.
Reporting to the Commercial & Pricing Manager, this role will be based at our Wetherill Park office.
About the role:
- Analysing and maintaining pricing models by processing internal and external data, building dynamic pricing models, dashboards, and scenario analyses to support margin and revenue growth.
- Facilitating strategic pricing decisions through in-depth analysis of customer segmentation, product performance, market trends, and competitor pricing, identifying optimisation opportunities, and providing actionable recommendations.
- Supporting commercial initiatives by implementing pricing strategies for new product launches, tenders, and contract negotiations, ensuring data-driven and competitive pricing across all channels.
- Ensuring pricing process excellence by maintaining accurate pricing in ERP systems, streamlining reporting processes, maintaining high data quality standards, and collaborating cross-functionally with Sales, Product, and Finance to align on pricing execution.
About you:
- Minimum 4 years of experience in Electrical Industry or any similar role.
- Familiarity with ERP and pricing systems (e.g., SAP, Pronto, Vendavo).
- Understanding of margin analysis and revenue management.
- Strong analytical thinking and attention to detail.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to present data-driven insights clearly and concisely.
- High attention to detail and a proactive, problem-solving mindset.
- Ability to work cross-functionally and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
