Job Description
We’re looking for a strategic and driven Sales Development to lead engagement with major electrical contractors across NSW and ACT. This role is focused on creating demand for our solutions, both through direct sales and by influencing broader market activity that supports our channel network.
About the role:
You’ll be responsible for selling a range of products directly to contractors, including power distribution, power quality, energy management, and EV charging solutions. A key part of the role is to generate momentum and interest in our broader range, helping drive pull-through demand via indirect channels.
Success in this role will also require close collaboration with our specification team to ensure alignment of project opportunities, market activity, and strategic priorities.
Selling key product solutions directly to electrical contractors, focusing on power distribution, power quality, and EV infrastructure.
Building strong relationships with contractors to drive interest and preference for our solutions across both direct and indirect channels.
Tracking and managing project opportunities, maintaining visibility of the sales pipeline, and ensuring alignment across internal teams.
Leading the preparation and submission of tenders and bids, ensuring our offers are competitive and well-positioned.
Communicating clearly and consistently with contractors, suppliers, and internal teams to support project delivery and business growth.
Developing and maintaining strong supplier relationships to support strategic initiatives and project alignment.
Working closely with the specification team, procurement, product, and supply chain teams to ensure smooth execution of commercial strategies.
Staying informed on industry trends, competitor activity, and customer needs to guide decision-making and sales strategy.
Desired Skills and Experience
About you:
Qualifications in Engineering, Electrical Trade, or relevant trade qualification.
Able to build trust and influence across a wide range of stakeholders.
Comfortable managing multiple priorities and thinking ahead to create long-term value.
Understands the contractor landscape and can translate technical solutions into business outcomes.
Skilled at navigating complex environments and maintaining strong relationships across direct and indirect channels.
Detail-oriented with a strong sense of ownership and follow-through.
Works well with internal teams and values supplier partnerships as part of the bigger picture.
