This is an exciting opportunity for a Sales Development professional to join our team on a full-time basis. You will report directly to the Sales Manager and be responsible for developing and executing business strategies across the Brisbane Metro and Southwest region, including Toowoomba, Dalby, Chinchilla, Roma, Warwick, and surrounding areas..
About the role:
You will play a key role in driving growth and strengthening our presence within the territory by developing strong customer relationships and promoting IPD’s comprehensive range of products and services.
- Identifying new prospects and sales opportunities.
- Building and managing key accounts within the customer base.
- Developing and implementing sales strategies to maintain existing business and drive new business
- Following a structured sales process to qualify, develop, and close customer opportunities.
- Collaborating with both local and national teams to allocate resources effectively.
- Providing accurate market, opportunity, and activity insights to management through the CRM system.
- Organising a minimum of 8–10 face-to-face meetings per week with active and prospective customers.
- Demonstrating strong application knowledge and consultative approach to manage sales activities.
- Attending industry-related events to support business development, networking, and gathering market intelligence.
About you:
- 5+ years sales experience within the Industrial Automation / Electrical sector
- Preferably with Electrical license or Automation certification
- Self-motivated, proactive and sales focused
- A collaborative team player with a strong sense of ownership and accountability
- An effective communicator with excellent written, verbal, and presentation skills
- A sales professional with a structured, process-driven approach to selling
- Experienced in developing and executing sales strategies to build and maintain a strong pipeline
- Applying a consultative selling style to identify and address customer needs
- Skilled in solution selling, with the ability to tailor offerings to complex customer requirements
