The IPD Colombo team is the offshore unit of IPD Australia and currently consists of over 200 professionals collaborating with over 400 team members across Australia in a dynamic and innovative environment to achieve high-quality results.

We are seeking a seasoned Front-End Developer with strong UI/UX design, leadership, collaborative and communication skills to manage our digital marketing development workflow and mentor our established team of web developers

Job Description

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain a backlog of feature requests and collaborate with the Head of Digital Experience to assign work to regular sprints.
  • Triage and assign digital marketing tasks received from business units to available resources within the web team, communicating with requesters and supporting escalation as required.
  • Collaborate with the Head of Digital Experience and business leaders to collect requirements and write detailed specifications for website and ecommerce improvements.
  • Work on projects autonomously while mentoring the web team in project work, bug fixes, and daily tasks.
  • Maintain team resource dashboards and digital development roadmap for communication to business leaders.
  • Lead weekly sync meetings, daily standups and sprint retrospectives for the web team as required.

Desired Skills and Experience

Education and Experience: 

  • Diploma or higher qualification in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
  • 3-5 years of front-end development experience, ideally in the B2B sector or with a large business managing multiple brands.
  • Demonstrated experience leading small development teams remotely. 
  • Demonstrated experience managing projects and tasks using online tools such as Monday.com, Jira or ClickUp.
  • High proficiency in HTML, CSS, JavaScript, XML and basic proficiency in PHP. Experience with LESS/SASS and Git will be highly regarded.
  • Demonstrated experience in developing responsive websites, ecommerce and email platforms, ideally across a range of vendors and tech stacks. Exposure to WooCommerce, Magento or BigCommerce will be highly regarded.
  • Experience in converting wireframes produced in Figma to final responsive designs.
  • Demonstrated experience in implementing measurement and event tracking in Google Tag Manager and Google Analytics, particularly ecommerce measurement.
