Job Description

IPD Group is seeking a results driven Sales Manager – WA, SA & NT to join our Building & Infrastructure sales team on a full-time basis. Based at our Welshpool office and reporting to the General Manager – Building & Infrastructure, this role is responsible in driving sales growth and expanding IPD’s market presence within the sector.

As Sales Manager – WA, SA & NT, you will be leading and developing the state sales team to increase revenue, grow market share, and improve customer satisfaction. Your strategic leadership will play a key role in achieving IPD’s goals for sustainable growth and long-term profitability.

About the role:

  • Developing and executing the state sales plan aligned with national sales strategy.
  • Identifying and leveraging sales opportunities across IPD’s full range of products and solutions.
  • Building familiarity with the Buildings & Infrastructure market and channels including consultants, switchboard manufacturers, major electrical and solar contractors, and system integrators. Staying up to date on competitor activities and market trends.
  • Maintaining strong technical knowledge of IPD’s product portfolio and solutions providing expert advice to customers and supporting the team with technical knowledge. 
     

Desired Skills and Experience

About you:

  • Proven experience in sales and business development, ideally within low voltage products, power distribution, switchboard systems, motor control, power monitoring, automation, industrial communication, and surge protection
  • Previous experience in managing a team and providing, guidance and direction 
  • High level of written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively across all levels.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage KPIs, margins, and sales performance metrics
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office
  • Previous experience using CRM systems
  • Strong negotiation and interpersonal skills, with a customer-first mindset
  • Excellent time management and planning abilities, with a proactive and results-driven approach
  • Willingness to travel as required to support customers and sales objectives
