Job Description

We’re looking for a dedicated Electrical Tester to join our team and play a key role in ensuring our switchboards are built and inspected to the highest standards. In this role, you’ll be responsible for quality-checking switchboards in line with approved construction drawings and IPD’s strict quality standards before they’re dispatched.

Reporting to the Workshop Manager, this role will be based at Wetherill Park, NSW.

About the role:

  • Performing quality control inspections on switchboards and various electrical products
  • Conducting electrical testing to ensure all products meet required standards
  • Identifying and reporting any faults or issues found during the quality control or testing process
  • Maintaining a clean and organised work area in line with IPD safety and efficiency standards
     

Desired Skills and Experience

About you:

  • Qualified Electrician, holds a valid license (desirably) 
  • Knowledge of standards AS/NZS61439 & AS300 
  • Ability to interpret electrical SLD and complex wiring schematics 
  • Ability to troubleshoot and fault find
  • Experience in testing and assembling control panels and switchboards
  • Ability to work within the given time frames and meeting tight deadlines
  • Ability to work under pressure, excellent time management and planning skills
  • Ability to work autonomously as well as a part of a team
  • Proficient with computer – some products require testing with specific software 
  • Orderly and organised with paperwork
  • High level of written and verbal communication skills
  • Good interpersonal and working collaboratively with all stakeholders
  • Reliable and responsible
  • Attention to details
