We're looking for a passionate and driven Product Engineer to join our IPD Low Voltage Switchboards team. This is a dynamic role where you'll apply your technical knowledge to support customers, contribute to product innovation, and help deliver outstanding project outcomes.
The role will work closely with Sales, Estimation, Engineering, and Customers to deliver outstanding technical support, training, and product solutions while helping drive continuous improvement across our switchboard portfolio.

About the role:
In this diverse and hands-on position, you will support the product management team with daily activities across product support, technical training, customer engagement, and product development initiatives.
Delivering technical training and support to customers and internal teams on Low Voltage Switchboard solutions, including design and estimation tools.
Partnering with Sales, Estimation, and Engineering teams to provide technical expertise, support project opportunities, and attend customer meetings.
Supporting product development, portfolio optimisation, and digital tool enhancements to improve customer and sales experiences.
Maintaining expert knowledge of Low Voltage Switchboards and relevant standards, including AS/NZS 61439 and AS/NZS 3000, to provide trusted technical guidance.
Managing customer requirements, product documentation, specifications, drawings, technical data, and marketing collateral to ensure accuracy and consistency.
Driving quality, compliance, and continuous improvement initiatives while promoting safe and professional work practices.
Desired Skills and Experience
About You:
Qualification as an Electrical Engineer or Qualified Trade Electrician is required
Experience in switchboard design, estimation, technical support, or a related electrical industry role (preferred).
Strong understanding of Low Voltage Switchboards and electrical distribution systems.
Knowledge of relevant Australian standards AS/NZS 61439 and AS/NZS 3000
Experience delivering technical training or presenting technical information to customers is advantageous.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, experience with ERP systems and CAD software
Strong documentation and technical communication skills.
Ability to interpret technical drawings, specifications, and customer requirements.
Ability to work collaboratively across sales, engineering, and operational teams.
