Job Description

We have an exciting new opportunity for a Pre-Sales Solution Engineer to join our Product Management and Presales team at any of the following locations: Wetherill Park, NSW/ Noble Park, VIC/ Brisbane, QLD.

Reporting to the Business Manager – Pre-Sales & Training, this role works closely with sales leaders to foster a collaborative sales and pre-sales environment focused on helping customers achieve their project goals.

This position requires a strong mix of technical expertise, problem-solving skills, and effective engagement with both internal teams and customers.

About the Role:

As a Pre-Sales Solution Engineer specialising in low voltage power distribution, you will play a key role in supporting the sales process and driving demand through a solution-based approach. You will engage in targeted project opportunities and key accounts requiring in-depth technical and industry knowledge.

  • Collaborating with the sales team to identify and qualify targeted project opportunities, aligning technical solutions with customer requirements across sectors such as buildings, infrastructure, and industrial.
  • Designing, architecting, and presenting tailored low voltage power distribution solutions that meet technical and operational objectives, including leading solution demonstrations, technical workshops, Proof-of-Concepts, and customer training sessions.
  • Developing compelling technical proposals, solution architectures, and value-based presentations to support business cases and ROI analysis, while addressing technical concerns and objections to ensure a smooth and confident pre-sales experience.
  • Acting as a trusted technical advisor, engaging with end users, consultants, EPCs/EPCMs, OEMs, contractors, and system integrators throughout the customer journey, and building strong relationships through site visits, remote consultations, and industry events.
  • Sharing knowledge and best practices to support the continuous development of the sales and pre-sales team, maintaining and updating the pre-sales knowledge base (e.g., SharePoint), and tracking/reporting key metrics such as customer interactions, win rates, and training sessions delivered.

Desired Skills and Experience

About you:

  • Tertiary or trade qualifications in Electrical, Electrical Engineering, Electrotechnology or equivalent work experience
  • Minimum of 3 years’ experience in low voltage power distribution products and systems.
  • Experience in sales, presales, technical solutions, or technical consulting.
  • Hands-on experience with low voltage distribution technologies.
  • Skilled in developing Proof-of-Concepts and building solution demonstrations.
  • Familiar with design tools, industry software, and technical documentation platforms.
  • Able to work effectively in a collaborative, cross-functional team environment.
  • Strong problem-solving skills with a customer-focused approach.
  • Experienced in using CRM systems to manage customer interactions.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
  • Strong time management and planning abilities.
  • Willingness to travel as required.
