Job Description

We are seeking a dynamic, enthusiastic and results-oriented Business Manager to lead our Power Distribution & Renewables team! In this exciting role, you’ll spearhead our Power Distribution & Renewables Product Management team, set and achieve sales targets, and shape our product strategy in collaboration with Sales & Marketing. You’ll also build strong relationships with our vendor partners and create a vibrant, high-performance team culture. 

Reporting to the General Manager – Products and Innovative Technologies, this role will be based at our Wetherill Park office.

About the role:

  • Leading the Power Distribution & Renewables business & product management team
  • Developing and achieving the Business Plan and Go-To-Market strategy for the Power Distribution & Renewables range of products
  • Guiding the Product Management team in achieving their KPIs, while supporting their personal and professional development.
  • Creating and implementing marketing strategies to effectively promote Power Distribution & Renewables products, ensuring alignment with business goals.
  • Developing detailed marketing plans for products and collaborating with the marketing team to ensure successful delivery and execution.
  • Staying updated with in-depth technical knowledge of Power Distribution and competitor offerings to ensure market competitiveness.
  • Establishing and nurturing strong working relationships with vendors, particularly ABB, to ensure alignment with business objectives, and support inventory management and the discovery of new product opportunities.

Desired Skills and Experience

About you:

  • Qualifications in Electrical Engineering (preferred), or Trade Qualified Electrician
  • Working knowledge of the national market for the Power Distribution range of products.
  • Leadership experience in managing a product management team
  • Previous experience in Electrical/ Power Distribution is preferred as a minimum
  • Marketing qualifications or equivalent experience 
  • Must have strong commercial background to lead a product business unit
  • High level of written and verbal communication skills
  • Be able to demonstrate a high level of competency in the management of KPI's, margins and sales figures;
  • Willingness to travel as required;
  • Knowledge in MS Office and CRM software;
  • Proven communication and negotiation skills;
  • Excellent time management and planning skills
  • Must have the ability to travel to clients
