Reporting to the Sales Manager, this is an exciting opportunity for someone who enjoys building strong customer relationships, understands the electrical wholesale channel, and is ready to take the next step in their sales career.
This role will cover a diverse territory including Cairns, Port Douglas, Mareeba, Atherton, Townsville, Mount Isa, Airlie Beach, and surrounding areas.
About the role:
In this role, you will be responsible for driving sales growth and expanding IPD’s presence within the electrical wholesale channel.
- Establishing and maintaining strong business relationships with current and prospective customers in the assigned territory to drive new business opportunities.
- Presenting, promoting, and selling IPD products and services to existing and potential customers using persuasive arguments.
- Identifying and capitalising on new business development opportunities within the designated territory to achieve sales and margin growth targets.
- Proactively engaging with electrical contractors through the wholesale channel to create demand for IPD products and services.
- Achieve desired sales outcomes, challenging objections where required.
- Liaising & collaborating with key stakeholders.
- Coordinating with the wider sales team to ensure comprehensive solutions are provided to customers, maintaining high levels of customer service.
- Providing a high level of customer service
About you:
- Qualifications in Electrical trade, engineering discipline or relevant industry experience.
- Minimum of 3 years’ experience in the electrical industry
- Previous experience in sales and business development highly desirable, preferably in the Electrical Wholesale Channel.
- Strong understanding of contract and tendering processes.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with proven negotiation ability.
- Demonstrated competency in managing KPIs, margins, and sales performance.
- Strong time management and planning skills with the ability to meet deadlines.
- Proficiency in MS Office and CRM software.
- Willingness to travel as required.
