Job Description

This is an exciting opportunity for a Sales Development Representative to join our Building & Infrastructure Sales Team on a full-time basis. Collaborating closely with the broader team, your primary task will be to grow and sell ABB ACH580 HVAC Drives in VIC, developing relationships and showcasing IPD’s broad capabilities to this sector. 

This role will report directly to the State Sales Manager and will be based at our office in Noble Park, VIC.

About the role:

  • Developing and implementing sales strategies to achieve targets for VSD products in the HVAC and Refrigeration market in VIC

  • Identifying and engaging potential clients through cold calling, networking, and industry events.

  • Maintaining a high-level of sales and technical knowledge of IPD products and solutions.

  • Generating sales call reports and manage quotations in CRM systems.

  • Providing market feedback to the Sales Manager, General Manager, and Product Marketing Group.

  • Ensuring effective representation of IPD in designated customer channels/sectors and coordinate sales visits with product managers/specialists.

Desired Skills and Experience

About you:

  • Qualifications in HVAC/R, Electrical or Mechanical fields

  • Previous experience in sales in the HVAC/R industry preferred.

  • A strong understanding of the contract and tendering processes.

  • High level of written and verbal communication skills.

  • Be able to demonstrate a high level of competency in the management of KPI's, margins and sales figures.

  • Knowledge in MS Office and CRM software.

  • Proven communication and negotiation skills.

  • Excellent time management and planning skills

  • Must have the ability to travel regionally to clients
