Reporting to the Assistant Technical Support Manager, this role is open across multiple IPD locations including Wetherill Park (NSW), Brisbane (QLD), Noble Park (VIC), and Canning Vale (WA). About the Role:
You will be a trusted technical specialist in supporting customers, guiding product selection, and working closely with internal teams to deliver timely, practical, and reliable solutions.
- Providing in-depth technical support to end users, electrical contractors, switchboard builders, and electrical wholesalers via phone, email, remote connections, bench testing, and on-site visits when required.
- Identifying and recommending suitable product selections and reliable technical solutions to meet customer and project requirements.
- Supporting customers and internal sales teams with post-sales technical advice and expertise.
- Collaborating with internal teams to ensure customer enquiries are responded to promptly and service KPIs are achieved.
- Communicating effectively with internal stakeholders to track, follow up, and resolve technical issues through to completion.
- Conducting bench testing and technical investigations to diagnose and resolve product-related issues.
- Building strong, long-term customer relationships through professional, responsive, and solutions-focused support.
- Continuously developing technical knowledge and commercial capability to exceed performance expectations.
About You:
- Bachelor of Engineering in Electrical, Electronics, Mechatronics, or a related discipline
- Minimum 2 years’ experience working with power-related products, including: Power Distribution (ACBs, MCCBs) and Final Distribution (MCBs, Distribution Boards)
- Previous technical support experience within the electrical industry preferred
- Strong problem-solving skills and genuine curiosity about how products and systems work
- Proactive, self-starter mindset with the ability to thrive in a dynamic team environment
- Confidence communicating with customers, peers, and internal stakeholders
- High-level written and verbal communication skills
- Willingness and ability to travel to client sites as required
