Reporting to the Sales Manager NSW, the role will focus on playing a key part in business development, demand creation and sales execution.
About the role:
As the Business Development, the role will work closely with customers, consultants, and internal teams to unlock new opportunities and elevate the Elsteel Techno offer in the market.
- Supporting the NSW sales team by driving sales initiatives, developing opportunities, and executing strategic plans to achieve Elsteel Techno targets.
- Spending around 40% of time in the field, engaging with customers, identifying needs, and uncovering opportunities in the Modular Switchboards market.
- Maintaining a state based project register and staying updated on market conditions, design criteria, and industry standards to drive cross-selling opportunities.
- Providing technical expertise, product knowledge, and training support to build sales team capability in Elsteel Techno solutions.
- Managing CRM entries, reporting, expenses, and all work activities with a high standard of professionalism and safety.
About You:
- Qualifications in Engineering, Electrical Trade, or relevant trade is desirable.
- Proven experience in switchboard design, switchboard systems, and technical solution selling.
- Solid understanding of contract and tendering processes.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong capability in managing KPIs, margins, and sales performance.
- Proficiency in MS Office and CRM platforms.
- Demonstrated negotiation and relationship-building skills.
- Exceptional time-management and planning abilities.
- A valid driver’s licence and the ability to travel to client sites as required.
