Job Description

We have a great opportunity for a Project Manager – Custom solutions to join our team at Wetherill Park.  

You will be overseeing and delivering tailored solutions to meet the specific needs and requirements of clients or internal stakeholders. You will be managing the entire project lifecycle, from planning and scoping to execution and delivery, ensuring that the project/s for custom distribution boards are executed successfully within budget, on time, and according to the desired specifications in liaison with all associated stake holders.

You will be reporting to the Manufacturing Manager.

About the role:

  • Managing custom assembly distribution board projects by liaising with all relevant stakeholders – customer, sales rep, production team, drawing team, estimating team, etc.
  • Working with the production team to answer technical enquiries, manage delivery schedules and communicate with customers.
  • Production scheduling
  • Responsible for the accuracy and quality of the drawings – ensuring there is no mistakes before and after customer’s approval.
  • Project administrative work – Reviewing the designs and issuing drawings for approval to customer, checking stock availability, ordering labels, updating internal spreadsheets, etc.
  • Liaising with Product manager and Purchasing team to ensure availability of components for planned production schedule.
  • Managing unplanned fluctuations in component requirements with a sense of urgency.
  • Responsible for full ownership of delegated projects / tasks.
  • Continuous Improvement of assembly line efficiency.
  • Coordinating dispatch and delivery with all stakeholder - customer / sales rep / transport & logistic officer 
  • Performing other reasonable duties that may be required of you from time to time at the discretion of your manager.

Desired Skills and Experience

  • Electrical engineering or equivalent qualification 
  • Demonstrated experience in project management in Australia
  • Working knowledge of the AS/NZ standards, specially AS/NZS3000 and AS/NZS61439
  • Ability to understand and interpret schematic drawings 
  • Knowledge in low voltage and control circuit
  • Experience in designing control panels and distribution boards 
  • Able to work under pressure to meet customer’s tight deadlines
  • Able to work independently as well as a part of a team
  • Proficient with computer especially in Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook
  • Experience with CAD base software and ERP system (preferred but not essential)
  • Good organizational and time management skills 
  • Must have good interpersonal and communication skills - able to   communicate well in English
