This is a newly created role in our team.

We are looking for a Production Manager to lead our in-house operations. This role will be overseeing the production planning, resource allocation, and quality assurance, while championing continuous improvement across all product lines. We’re seeking someone who thrives on performance monitoring, efficiency gains, and maintaining high-quality standards—all to support our growth and deliver exceptional value to our customers.

Reporting to the Managing Director this role will be based at our Lidcombe office.

About the role:

  • Overseeing daily production operations by planning and managing schedules, allocating resources effectively, and monitoring key performance indicators (KPIs) such as throughput, downtime, and labour efficiency to ensure smooth and timely delivery across all product lines.
  • Leading and developing the production team by supervising supervisors and operators, facilitating training and cross-training, maintaining accurate competency records, and delegating responsibilities during staff absences to ensure operational continuity.
  • Maintaining and enforcing high quality standards by ensuring all products meet internal specifications and customer requirements, addressing quality issues and non-conformances, supporting the improvement of work instructions, and ensuring compliance with the QHSE Management System.
  • Driving efficiency and continuous improvement by analysing data, reducing waste, and supporting lean manufacturing initiatives.
  • Providing technical support and manufacturing guidance by collaborating with internal teams and subcontractors, assisting in new product introductions and R&D, overseeing CAD drawing accuracy, and maintaining up-to-date BOMs and calibrated equipment.
  • Fostering collaboration and communication by building strong working relationships and identifying improvement opportunities.

  • Proven leadership in a manufacturing environment.
  • Strong knowledge of production processes, lean methods, and quality systems.
  • Practical, hands-on problem-solving skills.
  • High attention to detail and quality focus.
  • Ability to manage competing priorities and stay calm under pressure
  • Collaborative mindset with a willingness to get stuck in when needed.
  • Strong knowledge of stock control and warehouse operations.
  • Strong organisational and time management skills.
  • Familiarity with ERP systems.
