This is an excellent opportunity for a solutions-focused and customer-facing Business Development Manager to join our team, based in Noble Park.
About the Role:
Reporting to the State Sales Manager, you will be responsible for supporting customers in selecting the most suitable CMI electrical products to meet their specific needs and technical requirements. Your key responsibilities will include:
- Conducting face to face sales meetings to promote CMI’s electrical product range and recommend tailored solutions.
- Maintaining an accurate customer database and managing your sales territory through structured call planning.
- Following up on quotations and orders, raising non-conformance reports for quality, safety, or environmental issues, and negotiating to maximise sales margins.
- Driving business development activities, supporting market research, and achieving or exceeding sales targets.
- Preparing and submitting weekly call reports to the Sales Manager, with copies to the National Sales Manager and Manager – Mining & Operations (for mining-related accounts), including insights on market trends, pricing, and customer feedback.
About You:
- Proven experience in business development or technical sales, preferably within the electrical industry.
- Sound knowledge of electrical products, industrial, mining, and wholesaling industries.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to deliver high-quality customer service.
- Excellent time management skills with the ability to prioritise tasks and meet deadlines.
- Attention to detail and the ability to maintain accurate records.
- A strong understanding of quality assurance and workplace health and safety practices.
