Job Description

This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced Calibration Technician to join our team. This role will be responsible for & prioritise our workshop calibration and repairs process. Reporting to the Operations Manager, this role will be based in our Noble Park office.

About the role:

This role plays a key part in ensuring the smooth operation of workshop and field activities. Key responsibilities include:

  • Performing calibration, testing, and inspection of electrical/electronic instruments and insulated safety equipment in the laboratory and at customer sites. 
  • Preparing accurate calibration, test, and inspection reports while maintaining related records and documentation. 
  • Assisting with onsite troubleshooting, repairs, installations, and maintenance of electrical equipment and systems. 
  • Maintaining internal test equipment, workshop resources, and stock levels of parts and consumables. 
  • Identifying and implementing process improvements to enhance service quality, efficiency, and equipment reliability. 
  • Maintaining a safe, clean, and organised work environment while adhering to all health, safety, and quality standards.
     

Desired Skills and Experience

About You: 

The successful applicant should ideally have:  

  • Having calibration experience, preferably within an electrical or electronic environment. 
  • Demonstrating experience in repairing and replacing electronic parts and components. 
  • Possessing soldering skills with the ability to perform component-level repairs. 
  • Demonstrating a strong work ethic and a willingness to learn quickly and efficiently. 
  • Maintaining a high level of written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to prepare reports and effectively use Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, and Outlook). 
  • Working effectively both as part of a dynamic team and autonomously with minimal supervision. 
  • Applying strong organisational, analytical, and problem-solving skills in a technical environment. 
  • Holding a current full Victorian Driver's Licence.
